Facebook has acquired the WhatsApp for $19 billion dollars. At that time WhatsApp has only 450 million monthly active users. Since then it added another billion users into it.

Recently one of the founders of WhatsApp Brain Acton quit the company following the reports of tension between them. After this Jan Koum had also quit the company.

This Departure has opened the way for the Facebook to make changes on the WhatsApp, Particularly a way to monetize it. This incorporation of ads will a lucrative move for Facebook.

According to the Chris Daniels, vice president of WhatsApp told Economic Times this week “We are going to be putting ads in status.” He also added, “That is going to be [the] primary monetization model for the company as well as an opportunity for business to reach people on WhatsApp.”
